Case Studies: Gordon Residence southborough landscape construction and design project

This was a large project we started on soon after the customer bought the property and started to build their home. We landscaped the entire property, including the pool area and tennis court. Opposite the front entrance we built a beautiful stone retaining wall and created gardens up above. Boxwood hedges wrap around three beds planted with annuals and perennials, greeting guests with blooms spring through fall. Flowering cherry trees canopy over the hedges and flowering rhododendron. A large bluestone patio is in the back of the house, enclosed with another stonewall. The pool area is planted with masses of flowering rhododendron and summer blooming annuals. An unusual weeping white pine canopies the planting near the pool entrance. By the tennis court there is a bluestone patio with seating for people who wish to watch the match. A stone retaining wall encloses it, with juniper draping over it. In the large area encompassed by the circular driveway is a beautiful shade garden. Large oak trees canopy over flowering rhododendron, pieris and mountain laurel. Perennial hosta, astilbes, daylilies, bleeding hearts and impatiens create flowers throughout the summer. Large areas of grass sweep around the entire area. It’s a magnificent property.
